Windows XP Service Pack 3RC
Some of your more tech-savvy friends might recommend that you download and install XP SP3RC.

The RC means release candidate. This means that it is still, technically, a beta release, and is in testing stage.
Microsoft is getting ready for the Final Release of XP SP3. It is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2008. This will be a well tested Service Pack. Our advice is to wait until the final release has been our for awhile before loading it onto your machine.
